Demon Slayer is one of the most popular anime globally. Gacha games love to build on popular IPs. But this begs the question, is there a Demon Slayer mobile gacha game?
It would make sense. There are a ton of anime-based mobile games and collaboration events seem to pop up weekly. Demon Slayer is globally popular and would be a huge success.
Demon Slayer is the perfect anime for a mobile game. There is a huge stable of characters to pull for and the storyline lends itself perfectly to a video game. The anime features gorgeous visuals and fun characters, so it seems like the perfect candidate. Right? Right?
Is there a Demon Slayer Mobile game?
Surprisingly, there is not a Demon Slayer mobile game available at this time. Two years back, there was a game in the works.
The game was called Kimetsu no Yaiba(Demon Slayer): Battle Royale and it was a mobile battle royale title planned for an Android and iOS release. It was originally planned for a 2020 release, but eventually was delayed.
Then, in 2021, it was put on hold indefinitely to “improve the game’s quality.” Sadly, there has been no update on the game for months now, and it is assumed dead in the water.
Could something change in the future? Absolutely. Demon Slayer is a huge IP and has done extremely well all over the world. A mobile game makes sense, so it is probably only a matter of time.
