HoYoverse isn’t leaning on its Genshin Impact success and has been hard at work creating new games for mobile and console players. Highlighted during the Summer Game Fest, Zenless Zone Zero looks to hold a ton of potential.

The trailer showcases some of the characters, gameplay, and just general look of the title. We’re definitely picking up on the Genshin and Honkai Impact 3rd vibes, but this looks to be even more fast-paced.

We’ve also heard reports that it will be going in a roguelike direction, which could mean procedurally generated levels and systems that reward progression during individual sessions.

HoYoverse is casting a wide net right now and seems to be targeting many genres. Summer Game Fest also revealed more information about Honkai: Star Rail, a turn-based RPG.

HoYoverse is also hard at work on Genshin Impact. Sumeru is expected before the end of 2022 and possibly a new element, Dendro. But, due to delays, those timeframes may be shifted a bit.

Currently, we have no clue on a release date for Zenless Zone Zero. It was only announced in May of this year, so we are most likely still months and months away from its release. It’s possible we won’t see it until 2023.
