Nimrod is the featured card in the new Marvel Snap season pass, but what decks will the new card work well in?
Nimrod is a 5-energy, 5-power card with the ability “When this is destroyed, add a copy to each other location.”
Because its ability is focused on destruction, Destroy-based decks are going to perform the best with Nimrod.
We’ll break down some of the best Nimrod decks that we’ve found below.
Heads up: This list will be a combination of personal theory-crafting and fan-made decks we’ve researched.
Nimrod decks to try in Marvel Snap
Again, most of these decks will be based around the destroy mechanic, but some do offer unique twists.
The various Destroy cards will also help in instances where you are missing one or two cards, so keep that in mind.
Finally, this list will continue to evolve as we get more time with the card.
Shuri Nimrod Death
This Nimrod Destroy deck has a couple of win conditions with Shuri, Nimrod, Arnim Zola, and Death.
Ideally, you’ll get to do some trickery with Wave on turn four. That will open up more Shuri + Nimrod combos and give you more time to secure the board.
Shuri Nimrod Destroyer (Electro Ramp)
This deck is similar to the previous deck, but does have enough differences to warrant a spot on the list.
Electro helps move things along and Destroyer gives Nimrod the chance to really shine (especially if it hits Shuri first).
Pool 2/3-friendly Nimrod deck
This is a relatively basic destroy deck with Death, Venom, Nimrod, and Arnim Zola.
Attuma is easily replaceable in this deck, and Hulkbuster gives you a couple buff options. You will need to be picky with when and what you destroy, so keep that in mind.
This deck comes from Th3D3d3 on Snap.Fan and definitely has the capability to win some games.
Psylocke gives you the chance to get Wong out on turn 3. That enables Shuri to get Black Panter or Nimrod’s power extremely high.
Turn six Arnim Zola will make everything even better and Taskmaster also allows for some turn six trickery.
Another Destroy deck variation – this one focuses on putting plenty of cards down for your Bishop and buffing Nimrod through Okoye.
Sera helps give you a big turn 6, where your Shang-Chi can shine and your Nova can provide a big bump, as well.
If you feel like you have enough Destroy options, you could also sub in Death in place of Deathlock or Carnage.
Play how you want to play
We’re just diving into the newest Marvel Snap card and can’t wait to test-drive it.
Nimrod is available starting March 6 at 10 PM ET. It is part of the $10 Marvel Snap season pass.
