Pokémon Go is one of our favorite games and we’ve been grinding the hell out of raids and Community Days. The app runs smoothly, but sometimes it seems like the frame rate (sometimes referred to as FPS) is a bit low. This begs the question – can you increase FPS in Pokémon Go?
We’re not going to beat around the bush and make you read a blog post’s dinner recipe worth of text before getting to the answer. No, you cannot increase FPS in Pokémon Go.
But, before you get upset, you can unlock your phone’s full potential within the mobile game. This requires unlocking your native refresh rate.
Now, one important thing to remember about this is that you need to make sure your phone is up to the task. Increasing your refresh rate will put more strain on your phone (and possibly heat it up).
Because of this, you’re going to want to make sure you have a newer phone or tablet before doing this. Once you are confident with your device, read on for the how-to.
