Dragalia Lost is one of the better mobile games out there and has been in the space for years. Now, it’s coming to an end.

First released in September 2018, Dragalia Lost was developed by Cygames and published by Nintendo for both Android and iOS.

Sadly, the action roleplaying game will reach its end-of-service date on November 29, 2022. While no official reason has been given for the shutdown, the writing is on the wall.

The game’s player base has continued to decline, the game’s story has ended, and many believe the game was actually too generous in its gacha elements.

This means that fewer people felt pressured to spend money in the game. Certainly, if people were still dropping lots of cold hard cash, the game would continue.

As for why the player base declined, it’s most likely due to a plethora of reasons. For one, people move on to new games. The game’s raid system was also fun, but could have been too intensive for a dedicated mobile game.

Overall, it’s always sad to see a mobile game die, especially one that had such a good run as Dragalia Lost.

At this time, it isn’t clear if Cygames or Nintendo will offer the game in some form as an offline story game in the future, but we wouldn’t hold our breath for it.
