Genshin Impact is one of the most successful mobile games of all time. But is Genshin Impact available on Xbox?
We’ll cut to the chase. Genshin Impact is not available on Xbox as of March 2023. In fact, there is currently no Xbox release date set for the game.
While a Nintendo Switch version has long been rumored, it is still missing, as well. So, what gives? Is HoYoverse ever going to release its game on more consoles?
Will Genshin Impact ever come to Xbox?

As Day 1 Genshin players, we’ve been keeping a close eye on updates. While a Nintendo Switch version is still expected at some point, the developers are still being quiet about an Xbox version.
The Xbox One and Series X|S are both popular consoles, but there’s one specific reason we believe there are no Xbox plans currently – China.
More specifically, how unpopular the Xbox is in places like China and Japan. HoYoverse is a Chinese company, so it typically is going to make sure its local fanbase is most-covered.
That said, Microsoft is currently seeing a boom in growth in Asia. If this trend continues, it is quite possible that HoYoverse will put effort into an Xbox version.
Other indicators showing HoYoverse isn’t focused on Xbox

While it is always possible Genshin will make a surprise appearance on Xbox, we believe it is clear that it isn’t a focus.
HoYoverse’s latest game, Honkai: Star Rail, is looking to make huge waves.
Recently, the company confirmed that the game would also see a PlayStation release. But, you know what wasn’t mentioned? An Xbox release.
Where can you play Genshin Impact?

Even with the game missing on Xbox and Nintendo Switch, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy Genshin Impact in 2022.
It is available on PC, Android, iOS, and even PlayStation consoles. There’s also cross-play, meaning you can enjoy your same account across multiple platforms.
Personally, we enjoy playing on PC mainly and using our iPhones to do smaller daily tasks if we can’t get to our computers.
You can also use a controller if you play on iOS. Sadly, no official controller support is available for Android currently.
