It’s been teased for months, but now it’s official. A NieR: Automata collab is coming to Goddess of Victory: Nikke on September 1, 2023.
Once the collaboration goes live, Nikke players will be able to pull for two mainstays from the NieR series, 2B and A2.
It will be interesting to see how Nikke ties its lore to the NieR universe. But, that said, we’ve already seen the developers do this once before. That came with the Chainsaw Man collaboration the game had in March of 2023.

The trailer gives very little information about any story beats or in-game character design, but it definitely still manages to build the hype level of the collab.
It will be interesting to see how players react to the in-game models. After the Chainsaw Man collab, many players were unhappy with certain character models. Shift Up eventually addressed those concerns, so it will be interesting to see if the company goes all-in from the jump this time.
This isn’t NieR’s only collab in recent months. The iconic characters also popped up in Punishing: Gray Raven a year ago.
As someone who has played quite a bit of Nikke but recently set it down for other games, this collaboration is definitely one that will bring me back to the game for a while.
Goddess of Victory: Nikke is available on Android, iOS, and emulators like BlueStacks.
