Super Rare Games is working with Sluggerfly and Headup to bring Hell Pie, the crude 3D platformer that doesn’t take itself too seriously, to the Nintendo Switch physically for the very first time.
If you’re a fan of wild platformers with a little sass and love owning physical media, keep reading below to learn all the details.
Hell Pie is getting physical
A total of 4,000 copies will be printed, split between 2,000 standard editions and 2,000 SteelBook editions.
Both editions will go on sale on February 23rd, 2023, at 6pm GMT (10am PT/1pm ET) – available worldwide exclusively at Super Rare Games.
The standard release comes with all current content on its cart, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards.
On the other side, the SteelBook edition comes with all of the above plus the stylish SteelBook case.
As an added bonus, fans also won’t be waiting long to get their copies as Super Rare Games titles ship shortly after release.

About Hell Pie
Hell Pie sees you grab the horns of Nate, the ‘Demon of Bad Taste,’ as he is given the honorable task of gathering the disgusting ingredients for Satan’s infamous birthday pie.
To do so, Nate must venture out into the overworld and do whatever it takes to ensure those ingredients are secured in time, or there’ll be hell to pay!
Accompanying Nate is his ‘pet’ angel, Nugget. Nugget offers his holy insight when needed, but more importantly, is chained to Nate, so he can be used as a grappling hook or swung around like a weapon.
Nate can also equip horns he finds across the world to give him new hellish abilities.
Together, Nate and Nugget will explore absurd environments, meet tons of repugnant characters, and witness some truly shocking sights. Hell Pie is a seriously twisted take on the classic mascot platformer, so come along for the ride if you think you can stomach it!

- Become a demon: You’re Nate, the Demon of Bad Taste, the 8th deadly sin. While not taken very seriously in hell, he is feared on earth (by some…a few…2-3 people at least).
- Heavenly support: Nugget the angel does not only look cute but is also useful. Throw him like a grappling hook, use him as a weapon, and let him be your guide.
- Freedom: Use the extensive move set to overcome obstacles the way you want.
- Filth: It might look cute, but there are violent characters, illicit drugs, and sodomy.
