We’ve now downloaded the game on iOS and PC and the storage size is approximately 10 GB upon official release.
HoYoverse’s Genshin Impact is known for its massive file sizes on mobile and PC, but that is to be expected from a large open-world game.
The company is doing a much better job of maintaining a manageable file size with Honkai: Star Rail.
That said, it is still possible it could top 20 GB in total as more updates release.
Once the game is in full-swing and has received some updates/new content, we expect the file size to grow and potentially reach that 20 GB mark.
Mobile games continue to be more demanding, so ensuring you have a phone with available storage is more difficult than ever.
