Netflix subscribers gain access to a handful of mobile games, but finding these games isn’t exactly easy.
In fact, it can be downright difficult. That’s because Netflix doesn’t include its games directly within the Netflix app, but you still need it on your phone.
Instead, users have to basically stumble across them in their respective app stores. Both Apple’s App Store and the Google Play Store host them, and you have to download them from there.
We’ll break down everything you need to know below.
How to play Netflix mobile games
Time needed: 5 minutes.
To play Netflix’s offering of mobile games, players will need to do the following:
- Download the Netflix app
- Log into your account
Once logged in, you can exit the app
- Download Netflix games
Head back to the App Store or Play Store and search “Netflix games”
- Select a title and download
Once downloaded, open the game
- Choose the Netflix account to play under
If you have logged into Netflix already, the game will recognize that and ask you to choose a profile – select one
- Enjoy
Once you tap on an account, the game will load and you can start playing
That’s it! You’re now on your way to playing some new mobile games from Netflix.

There are quite a few fun games here, including Kentucky Route Zero and some of the Stranger Things mobile games.
You also get some classic card games, which can be a great way to pass the time, as well.
How to change your in-game name for Netflix games
If you have an in-game handle you like to using when playing games, Netflix gives you that option. Here’s how to change your name:
- Open the game you’d like to play and when prompted to log in, tap the Pencil icon that says Game Handle under the account you’d like to play on.

- Next, type in the name in the box to see if it is available

3. Once confirmed, tap the Let’s Play Button to confirm your choices.

- Now, when selecting a profile, you’ll see your in-game name under the profile name

That’s it, you’ve now successfully updated your Netflix in-game name. You can also do this from within a game at any time by tapping on your profile picture.
Netflix has a real opportunity here
While it is true that the company doesn’t do a great job of marketing its games (much like its movie and shows), this is honestly a great (kind of) free perk for Netflix subscribers.
