Marvel Snap, one of our favorite mobile games right now, is finally getting a friendly PvP mode.
Confirmed in an interview with the Washington Post, the comic-themed card game will let players challenge their friends “this calendar year.”
The new mode will be called “Battle Mode Vs. Friends,” and we personally can’t wait for it.
This is great news for players. Card games are fun against randoms, but there is something to be said about trying out your favorite decks against a real-life friend.
How will friendly PvP work in Marvel Snap?

Developer Second Dinner notes that friendly PvP will work differently than normal, ranked gameplay.
Instead of having only six rounds, players will each have 10 health points. You’ll fight tooth and nail against friends in multiple matches until one person runs out of health.
Health can be gained (and lost) quicker by snapping on your opponent.
Othe updates coming to the game
In addition to a friendly PvP mode, the developers are also working on getting in-game events live, as well as a guild system for dedicated players.
On top of that, players can expect new competitive modes in the coming months, as well.
Overall, it’s definitely an exciting time to be a digital card game fan. Marvel Snap is available on Android, iOS, and through a Steam beta.
