Pokémon Go’s July Community Day has come and gone, and now Niantic is releasing new details about August 2022’s upcoming Community Day. And, thankfully, it’s a good one.
Pokémon Go’s August 2022 Community Day will feature none other than Galarian Zigzagoon, a Normal and Dark-type Pokémon. Galarian Obstagoon can be a beast in PvP and the Community Day move makes it even better. Not to mention that Shiny Galarian Zigzagoon and its evolutions look amazing.

When is Pokémon Go Community Day – August 2022
August 2022’s Community Day in Pokémon Go will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time.
Additionally, some bonuses and special raids featuring Galarian Linoone will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. Completing these raids will cause more Zigzagoon to spawn in the wild.
Community Day moves plus Shiny Galarian Zigzagoon
Just look at the Shiny Galarian Zigzagoon and its evolutions above. It is glorious, and we plan on going all out to get a great one for PvP. Maybe two or three. Hell, we want at least 10 good ones. For reasons.
Speaking of PvP, players that evolve Galarian Zigzagoon to Obstagoon will get the special move Obstruct. Obstruct does 15 power and is guaranteed to increase the user’s Defense and lower the opponent’s Defense in PvP battles.
Other Pokémon Go Community Day bonuses
Finally, to wrap things up, players that play during the three hour window will get a bunch of other bonuses that will make it worth grinding during the event.
These include 3x Catch Stardust, 2x chance for XL Candy, 3x Catch Candy, three-hour Lure modules, three-hour Incense, one additional special trade, and 50% discounted Stardust trades.
Community Day is just around the corner
Overall, it looks like an extremely great Community Day for Pokémon Go players. While it might not be exciting as some of the rumors, it features a great Shiny and Obstagoon should feel at home on many PvP teams.
