Gundam is one of my favorite anime/media franchises of all time. It is what introduced me to anime and I spent hours and hours making models. Now, Gundam is hitting our smartphones in the form of SD Gundam G Generation Eternal, an upcoming mobile game.
Very little is known about the game at this time. Bandai Namco is the developer and there is a closed beta test “coming soon” according to the official website. It will be a free-to-play strategy title, as well.
It seems to use squad-based gameplay and obviously has a huge emphasis on collecting as many Gundam models as possible. The art style is interesting, but I’m not completely sold on it yet, but will need to see more to make a decision.

For fans of Gundam and those that have kept up with its many, many storylines, expect plenty more of that. Personally, I’ve done a terrible job at that, but I’m excited for everyone that has.
SD Gundam G Generation Eternal does not have a release date yet, but it is planned for both Android and iOS. We’ll continue to update (or link to new posts) as more information is made available.
